Why a boomerang comes back

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Throwing a stick and expecting it to come back feels like magic, but it is just aggressive physics. A boomerang is essentially a set of spinning airplane wings. Because the top wing cuts through the air faster than the retreating bottom wing, uneven lift causes it to aggressively bank into a circular return path.
