A closer look
Taking a heavily coiled piece of tough metal and forcibly crunching it downward does not magically make the applied kinetic effort vanish. The intense physical force is secretly stored directly inside the violently warped molecular structure, patiently waiting for literally any excuse to instantly escape. The second you carelessly remove the downward pressure, the deeply angry coil violently snaps back to its original resting shape, forcefully throwing whatever was holding it down directly into the ceiling.
