Vedic (or Sidereal) astrology maps charts based on the actual, current physical location of the constellations in the sky. Western (Tropical) astrology, however, locks the zodiac to the changing of the seasons, meaning it hasn't aligned with the physical stars for over 2,000 years. Essentially, Western astrology functions on a frozen screenshot of the sky from the Roman Empire.
