The father of communism funded his anti-capitalist manifesto by working for the mainstream capitalist media. During his exile in London, Marx was incredibly broke. To pay his rent, he took a gig as the European correspondent for the New York Daily Tribune, a largely Republican and capitalist newspaper. He wrote hundreds of articles for them over a decade, meaning the guy who told workers to seize the means of production was living off a corporate media paycheck.
