Bacteria can attack as a group

Microbes scheme together via microscopic whispers called quorum sensing. Bacteria release signaling molecules to count how many of their friends are nearby. Once their population hits a critical threshold, they all attack simultaneously, overwhelming the host defenses before anyone realizes they are under siege. It is essentially a microscopic flash mob, just with vastly more vomiting.
