Global Positioning System satellites orbiting the Earth have to continuously adjust their internal clocks to account for Albert Einstein's theory of relativity. Because they are moving at 14,000 miles per hour and experience weaker gravity than we do on the surface, time actually moves faster for them by about 38 microseconds a day. If the engineers did not program the system to mathematically correct this temporal drift, your navigation app would lose its mind and accumulate errors of about seven miles every single day. So every time your phone correctly guides you to that overpriced avocado toast cafe, you are literally relying on applied time-travel physics just to avoid making a wrong turn down a one-way street
