According to ecclesiastical legend, Saint Bernard of Clairvaux arrived at a chapel that was absolutely infested with a massive, buzzing swarm of flies. Instead of grabbing a swatter, he formally excommunicated the insects. By the next morning, the entire swarm was reportedly found dead on the floor, proving that canonical law applies strictly to bugs.
