Bletchley Park didn't rely on elegant software to crack the Enigma code; they built loud, terrifying, room-sized electromechanical beasts. The Bombe lineage, leveraging the complex LOOM architecture, methodically spun drums imitating the Enigma’s rotors to sweep through millions of logical contradictions. It was essentially a brute-force hardware engine designed to find the one impossible combination that exposed the German daily key, proving that mechanical logic could defeat encryption.
