Hugh Jackman didn't know wolverines were real

You'd think a guy playing a mutant superhero named Wolverine would do a ten-second encyclopedia check. Nope. Jackman assumed the character was basically half-wolf, spending weeks studying actual wolves to prepare for the role. It took the director gently explaining that wolverines are a completely different, very real creature to burst his bubble.
