Instead of grinding through terrible dive bars for years, the Mamas and the Papas had the most relaxed origin story ever. They essentially formed the group while hanging out on an extended vacation in the Virgin Islands, soaking up the sun and harmonizing. It is incredibly infuriating to every struggling artist freezing in a van outside a venue.
