According to international regulations, all vessels must have a way to sound their presence in fog or heavily trafficked areas, and that includes top-secret, multibillion-dollar nuclear subs. They rarely use them, but the image of a stealth predator honking like a frustrated minivan driver in the harbor is wonderfully absurd.
