How anti-reflective glass makes glare disappear

Museum cases and high-end watches achieve perfect clarity by weaponizing destructive physics. The glass is coated with microscopic layers of specific thicknesses. When light hits it, some reflects off the top layer, and some reflects off the bottom layer. The thickness is perfectly calibrated so these two bouncing light waves collide out of phase, physically destroying each other so no glare reaches your eye.
