The first Laserdisc movie made viewers flip the disc

Before DVDs, there were Laserdiscs: massive, shiny, twelve-inch platters that looked like alien hubcaps. Jaws was the premiere title, but because each side of the disc only held about thirty minutes of video, you literally had to get up and flip the heavy disc midway through a shark attack. It was premium home theater with all the convenience of changing a car tire.
