Nam June Paik looked at a brand new, expensive cathode-ray tube television and decided it needed to be violently assaulted with a giant horseshoe magnet. By intentionally warping the electrical signals into trippy, abstract waves, he single-handedly invented video art and probably voided the manufacturer's warranty in the most pretentious way possible.
