Cabin fever can apparently produce some incredibly profound literature. This 14th-century Flemish writer heavily preferred sitting alone deep in the dense forest over hanging out in his monastery. He would just wait under the trees with a wax tablet, writing wildly complex, intensely beautiful books about the shimmering inner life of the soul completely out in the wild.
