Liquid helium becomes a superfluid when cooled to nearly absolute zero, losing all electrical resistance and kinetic viscosity. In this bizarre quantum state, the liquid can flow upward against gravity, creeping over the walls of its container in a film only a few atoms thick. It can also seep through microscopically small holes that would completely block regular liquids or gases. Physics simply throws its hands up and quits when things get too cold, allowing a liquid to act like a spooky ghost that defies the laws of thermodynamics. You can put this stuff in a cup, and it will literally climb out of the cup because it has zero friction and zero respect for Sir Isaac Newton. It is completely absurd that scientists use incredibly expensive cryogenic labs to study a fluid that essentially behaves like a toddler trying to escape a playpen, proving that quantum mechanics is just magic wrapped in math
