The Landwasserschlepper sounds like an offensive sneeze but was actually Nazi Germany's attempt at building the ultimate amphibious tractor. It was essentially a tugboat hull hastily bolted onto the treads of a Panzer tank. Designed for the canceled invasion of Britain, this awkward hybrid was supposed to effortlessly swim across the English Channel and then dramatically drive up the beach. Instead, it was terrifyingly slow, completely unarmored, and struggled to do boat things or tank things effectively.
