HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART
That flimsy little charging port on older electronics was engineered with an incredibly short lifespan in mind. The physical connectors were specifically rated for a mere ten thousand insertions before the tiny metal retention clips completely lost their grip. It is an intentional design choice ensuring the cable simply falls out of the device after a few years of daily use.
