Despite becoming the global mascot for hyper-violent, machine-gun-toting cinematic carnage, the original John Rambo was a massive pacifist. In the 1982 film First Blood, Rambo uses his elite survival skills entirely to wound and disable his pursuers. Only one character dies in the entire movie, and that happens purely because he falls out of a helicopter while trying to shoot Rambo.
