Ekeberg discovered tantalum buried in Nordic minerals

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Anders Gustaf Ekeberg isolated a highly stubborn metal that fundamentally refused to absorb any acidic liquids, regardless of the temperature. He named it after a mythological figure who was entirely surrounded by water but could never drink. It was a completely nerdy, highly obscure flex over a metallic lump that wouldn't dissolve.
