A closer look

Harry Potter author J K Rowling demanded that the entire cast of the film adaptations be strictly British, leading to the hilarious rejection of legendary actor Robin Williams who desperately wanted to play Hagrid. The studio executives had to politely tell one of the most beloved comedic geniuses of a generation that his passport was simply the wrong color to exist in their fictional magical universe. It is incredibly funny to imagine a universe where an eccentric American wizard is just running around Hogwarts doing rapid-fire impressions while the incredibly stiff British professors awkwardly sip their afternoon tea and try to ignore the chaotic energy!
