That gorgeous, mystical blue fog hovering over forested mountain ranges isn't magic, it's just tree sweat. Trees constantly expel massive amounts of an organic compound called isoprene to protect themselves from heat stress. This gas scatters sunlight perfectly to create a stunning, highly flammable blue haze.
