Method acting is one thing, but weaponizing your own allergic reactions for a payday is next-level capitalism. For the horrifying bee sequences in the 1992 slasher Candyman, actor Tony Todd wore actual live bees on his face and inside his mouth. Because nobody does that for free, he brilliantly wrote a clause into his contract guaranteeing $1,000 per sting. He walked away with 23 stings and an extra $23,000, proving that true horror isn't a supernatural hook-handed ghost, but the lengths an actor will go to for a decent bonus.
