Magenta has no wavelength of its own

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Magenta is an absolute lie fabricated by your visual cortex. Because red and violet are on opposite ends of the light spectrum, there is no physical wavelength for the color between them. When your eyes see both simultaneously, your brain panics, fails to average them out, and just invents a fake, violently pink placeholder color to deal with the error.
