A closer look
Chris Pratt genuinely fell into the large excavated pit during the filming of the first season of Parks and Recreation, and the producers thought it was so funny that they kept the unscripted blooper in the show. His character Andy Dwyer was supposed to just stand near the edge of the hole, but Pratt's legendary physical clumsiness caused him to slip and violently tumble down the dirt embankment while his co-stars watched in genuine horror. Instead of stopping production to check if he was injured, the crew just kept rolling, birthing the beloved golden retriever persona that would eventually make him one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood. It is incredibly depressing to realize that most of us work soul-crushing corporate jobs, while this guy literally fell into a ditch and failed upwards
