British Somaliland abandoned a totally useless railway

Colonial administrators constructed a grand total of seven miles of track in British Somaliland just to move military supplies from a port to an inland camp. Once the camp wasn't strictly needed, they abruptly shut the Camber Railway down in 1939, leaving behind a comically short transit line that existed solely because the British Empire was too lazy to use wagons.
