Ritter discovered ultraviolet light using silver chloride
HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART
After hearing about infrared, Johann Ritter decided to look for invisible rays on the opposite end of the spectrum purely out of competitive spite. He exposed chemical-soaked paper to the dark area beyond violet light and watched it quickly turn black. He successfully found ultraviolet radiation, cementing the fact that invisible energy is everywhere.
