First commercial deodorant officially rolled out in 1888
For almost all of human history, society simply accepted that everybody smelled like old onions and hard labor. It wasn't until 1888 that an unknown inventor finally snapped and created Mum, the very first commercial deodorant. It was a wildly messy zinc-based cream that you awkwardly rubbed into your armpits, paving the way for humanity to finally stand close to one another in crowded elevators.
