Long before the Peloton, there was the terrifying mechanical rodeo beast of the 1920s. 'Silent Cal' suffered from digestive issues and believed rigorous horseback riding was the cure. So, he just installed an electric barrel-horse hybrid in his bedroom. He would ride it furiously in the mornings to shake up his intestines while refusing to talk to absolutely anyone.
