Spread spectrum signals jump across multiple frequencies

To avoid interception, signals simply refuse to stand still. Spread spectrum transmission intentionally distributes a signal across a tremendously wide bandwidth, hopping between frequencies in a pseudo-random sequence. Unless a receiver possesses the exact mathematical sequence required to reconstruct the scattered transmission, the entire signal just looks like meaningless background static.
