Saturn's moon Hyperion looks like a cosmic sponge

Celestial bodies are expected to be majestic spheres, not aggressively porous loofahs. The violently strange moon Hyperion is so completely riddled with deep craters and empty cavities that its overall density is stunningly low. It tumbles chaotically through space instead of rotating smoothly, looking exactly like a piece of cosmic coral that got utterly lost in the absolute void.
