How friction can weld metal without a torch
HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART
Instead of using a blowtorch to carefully melt two metal pipes together, engineers sometimes just spin one pipe incredibly fast and forcefully slam it into the other. The immense friction instantly superheats the ends and fuses them seamlessly. It is essentially using pure, aggressive mechanical violence to perfectly bond heavy industrial materials.
