Ocarina of Time creator Shigeru Miyamoto originally planned for the groundbreaking Nintendo 64 game to be played entirely from a first-person perspective to better showcase the immersive 3D environments of Hyrule. The concept was immediately scrapped when the development team realized that players would not be able to actually see the cool 3D model of Link that they had spent so much time designing.
