A closer look
Florida is famously haunted by the deeply alarming phenomenon of literally raining reptiles. When temperatures aggressively drop below forty degrees Fahrenheit, the cold-blooded iguanas entirely shut down their nervous systems. They freeze solid, utterly lose their grip, and horribly plummet from tree canopies directly onto parked cars. However, once the warm sun slowly returns, they completely thaw out and aggressively walk away as if they didn't just technically perish.
