A closer look
Your cells are basically running an Amazon fulfillment center on absolute overdrive. Inside every living cell, microscopic molecular motors called kinesins literally walk along structural microtubule tightropes on two tiny, stumpy molecular legs. They drag massive, balloon-like vesicles full of essential proteins and cellular garbage across the cellular cytoplasm, powered by burning chemical ATP. If you zoomed in, you would see trillions of these little guys aggressively strutting around like biological delivery workers right this very second.
