A brilliant solution to the terrifying phenomenon of the deck biting the wheels. Riser pads are simple plastic or rubber rectangles wedged between the board and the trucks. They lift the board just enough to prevent the spinning wheels from scraping the underside of the wood during a sharp turn, thereby saving the rider from an abrupt, involuntary launch.
