A closer look
In the early 1900s, someone in the Bohemian region looked at a train and decided coal was overrated. The 'Böhmischer Windwagen' was a literal railcar equipped with sails, relying on the wind to push cargo and passengers along the tracks. It was green energy before it was cool, and incredibly cheap. Of course, the fatal flaw in wind-powered rail transit is that trains can't tack against the wind like a sailboat. If the breeze died, your morning commute just instantly turned into a camping trip.
