While most modern police departments are busy purchasing heavily armored tactical vehicles, Alaskan officers are hooking up a team of screaming huskies to chase down criminals across the frozen tundra. The sheer logistics of feeding and maintaining a pack of highly energetic sled dogs is completely maddening compared to just putting gas in a snowmobile, but the dogs never suffer from engine failure at fifty below zero. Getting arrested is already a terrible experience, but being hauled away to jail in a wooden basket pulled by aggressively enthusiastic canines really adds an extra layer of cinematic humiliation
