Casting an actual senior citizen is apparently too complicated, so studios prefer burying young talent under layers of rubber. Artists spend six hours painstakingly gluing heavily textured silicone flaps to incredibly impatient cheeks. The performer then spends the entire day trying desperately not to sweat underneath what is effectively a completely unbreathable facial mask.
