Waiting around for thousands of highly cooperative spiders to organically haunt a creepy mansion just isn't great for the shooting schedule. Prop decorators use a specialized handheld fan attached to a standard hot glue gun. As the molten glue drips out, the fan forcefully blows it into incredibly fine, sticky strands that perfectly mimic ancient, dusty arachnid webbing.
