A closer look
It takes a special kind of twisted genius to make frying an egg look like a horrific crime scene. The opening credits for everyone's favorite serial killer drama used hyper-close, aggressive macro photography and squelching audio design to weaponize a mundane morning routine. Flossing teeth, squeezing a blood orange, and dicing ham were lit and framed so uncomfortably close that the viewer's brain automatically translates basic culinary prep into the methodical butchery the protagonist performs at night.
