The foundation of all modern nerd culture narrowly avoided having the absolute worst title imaginable. When Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson were developing their groundbreaking tabletop role-playing game in 1974, Gygax's working title was literally just 'The Fantasy Game'. Thankfully, his wife pointed out that this sounded like a sterile corporate manual and suggested they name it after the two most prominent elements of the game. Thus, Dungeons & Dragons was born, saving millions of nerds from immense secondary embarrassment.
