Adolf Hitler actually requested to meet the creator of Superman to offer him an honorary Aryan status, unaware that the comic book writers were Jewish. During the early days of World War II, the Nazi propaganda machine noticed that the Man of Steel was immensely popular, and the regime wanted to utilize the superhero to promote their twisted ideology. They reached out to Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the two Jewish teenagers from Cleveland who created Superman, completely misinterpreting the character's origins. When the Nazis discovered the creators were Jewish, the propaganda minister threw a massive temper tantrum and officially banned Superman comics across Germany, declaring the character a toxic symbol of American degeneracy. It is incredibly satisfying to know that two Jewish kids from Ohio managed to thoroughly humiliate the Third Reich simply by drawing a buff alien in blue tights punching bad guys
