How spacecraft turn without firing rockets

Instead of firing rockets, spinning heavy metal discs inside the ship angrily twist it into facing the right way. Conservation of angular momentum means if a heavy wheel spins clockwise inside the chassis, the rest of the spacecraft naturally rotates counter-clockwise. It is a brilliant way to aim a telescope without wasting precious fuel.
