The massive beige box the exhausted cashier uses to ring up your groceries looks completely alien and heavily specialized. Underneath the bulky plastic shell and absolute massive spiderweb of receipt cables, it is heavily running a remarkably standard, utterly outdated operating system. It is literally just a terrible desktop PC aggressively disguised as a massive cash register.
