Rudolf Diesel vanished before his engine took over

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

The inventor of the diesel engine took a completely normal boat trip to London in 1913 and simply ceased to exist. He went into his cabin, neatly folded his coat, and was never seen alive again. Whether it was a tragic accident, suicide, or an assassination by angry coal barons, he missed out on seeing his creation completely dominate global freight.
