A pure exercise in hoping your body weight is enough to cheat momentum. Luge sleds do not feature a single mechanical linkage for turning; there are no handles to twist or wheels to crank. The front runners bow slightly inward when the rider presses with their legs and pulls the handles with their hands, physically warping the sled itself to carve through a corner.
