Aspdin invented a unique cement resembling natural stone

HERE’S THE INTERESTING PART

Joseph Aspdin basically cooked crushed limestone and clay on his kitchen stove until it formed a massively tough binding powder. When mixed with water, it hardened into something that perfectly mimicked premium building stone. He effectively created the ultimate artificial rock, entirely eliminating the need to painstakingly carve natural boulders.
