Talk about being tragically ahead of your time. In 1948, the legendary codebreaker created 'Turochamp,' a set of mathematical rules for a computer to play chess. The only problem was that physical computers capable of processing the math literally did not exist yet. Turing had to manually calculate the algorithm's moves himself during a match against a colleague, which took 30 agonizing minutes per turn.
