Micki Marlo wasn't aiming for the history books when she shimmied through 16mm film reels for 1960s Scopitone jukeboxes, but her delightfully campy performances became Rosetta stones for media historians. Because the mafia largely controlled these video jukeboxes in dive bars, nobody bothered to properly archive the film reels when the fad died. Marlo's perfectly preserved musical numbers are now the only surviving evidence that drunk boomers essentially invented the modern TikTok thirst trap six decades ago.
